What can I use my Benefits Card to pay for?
The type of expenses you can pay for using your benefits card depends on the type of account(s) you have. Please see the section below regarding your account type for more information of eligible expenses.
How do I check my balance?
You can check your balance by calling (855) 374-6431, emailing info@fbaofsyosset.com, logging in to your online account on our Benefit Account Portal, or using the FBA Flex Benefits mobile application. Our mobile application is available on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
How do I order a replacement card?
If your card has been misplaced or damaged, you can order a replacement card by calling (855) 374-6431, emailing info@fbaofsyosset.com, logging in to your online account on our Benefit Account Portal, or using the FBA Flex Benefits mobile application. Our mobile application is available on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
Does my card have a PIN?
Your card does not have a PIN. For cards linked to a Commuter Benefit Plan, you may be asked to enter your ZIP code.
How do I create an online account?
You can register for an online account by visiting our Benefit Account Portal. Follow the instructions to create an account. Your Registration ID is the number of the front of your benefits card, and your Employee ID is your Social Security Number. Benefits Enrollment Platform

What is a Benefits Enrollment Platform?
Our online Benefits Enrollment Platform allows you to easily enroll in or waive employer offered benefits such as health insurance. You can also access any important documentation that you may need by logging in to your account on our Benefit Enrollment Platform.

Commuter Benefits

What can I purchase with a Commuter Benefit Plan?
You can spend the money that you contribute to your Commuter Benefit Plan on mass transit expenses such as train/subway fares, bus fares, vanpools, carpool services (UberPool, Lyft Line), parking garages or meters, and tolls.
How much can I spend per month?
The 2019 monthly limit for a transit accounts is $265. The 2019 monthly limit for parking accounts is $265.
Is there a PIN for my Commuter Benefit Card?
There is no PIN. Enter your ZIP code if requested.

Wage Parity Benefits

What can I purchase with my wage parity benefit dollars?
You can spend your tax-free wage parity money on dental expenses, optical expenses, pharmacy prescriptions, eligible child care expenses, up to $100 per month on work related cell phone service expenses, and eligible medical expenses. Why is my card getting declined when I attempt to pay my cell phone bill?
According to Internal Revenue Service regulations, eligible cell phone service expenses are limited to $100 per month. Transactions above $100 will be automatically declined. If you are using your card to pay for eligible cell phone service expenses, make sure that the transaction amount is $100 or lower.

Flexible Spending Account (FSA)

What is an eligible flexible spending expense?
You can spend your Flexible Spending Account contributions on dental expenses, optical, expenses, pharmacy prescriptions, and eligible medical expenses. For a full list of eligible expenses please see our Medical Expense Eligibility List.
How much can I contribute to my Flexible Spending Account?
The 2019 contribution limit for Flexible Spending Accounts is $2700. However, you employer may have a lower contribution limit than $2700.
Can the money in my Flexible Spending Account roll over into the next plan year?
Your employer may allow a $500 maximum of unused funds in your Flexible Spending Account to roll over into the next plan year.
Is there a grace period for spending unused funds in my Flexible Spending Account?
Your employer may allow a 2.5 month grace period after the end of your plan to spend any unused funds in your Flexible Spending Account.

Dependent Care Accounts

What is an eligible dependent care expense?
You can spend your Dependent Care Account contributions on child care services such as before/after school programs and day camps. Services must be provided while you are at work. Tuition for kindergarten age or older children isn't a qualifying expense for dependent care credit because expenses to attend kindergarten or a higher grade aren't expenses for the child's care. How much can I contribute to my Dependent Care Account?
The 2019 contribution limit for Dependent Care Accounts is $2500 if the filer is single, and $5000 if the filer is married.
When will I receive my Dependent Care Account contributions?
Your contributions will be deposited into your account shortly after your payroll period.
Can the money in my Dependent Care Account roll over into the next plan year?
There is no roll over for Dependent Care Accounts.
Is there a grace period for spending unused funds in my Flexible Spending Account?
There is no grace period for Dependent Care Accounts.
